Lake Tahoe is the first pretty lake we have seen since leaving Minnesota. It was a welcome sight!
After leaving Sequoia National Forest we drove to Lake Tahoe to spend the week with Eric's parents, as they were vacationing there for about a month. We arrived relatively late on Tuesday evening and proceeded to enjoy a shower and some good sleep.
We had a yummy 4th of July dinner on Wednesday, followed by some very beautiful fireworks over the lake. Shiny!

We spent most of the weekend hiking around waterfalls and taking in the beautiful Lake Tahoe views.
I hiked down this waterfall to take pictures.
On Sunday we went out for a lovely meal to celebrate Jan and Ken's 40th wedding anniversary! It was a great dinner followed by drinks out on a dock to watch the sunset.
So excited!
Also very excited.
Jan made me twirl in the parking lot. Twirly.
Lake Tahoe was gorgeous every day. Again. Now we're in Santa Clara (about an hour from San Francisco) visiting our friends Tom Zitzer and Mary Karver. See you soon!
